$100,000 Given Back to the Community We Love
At Norm’s Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, we’ve always believed that business is about more than fixing pipes, replacing water heaters, or installing air conditioners.
It’s about taking care of the people who take care of us.
For more than 55 years, our customers have welcomed us into their homes, trusted our team, referred their friends and neighbours, and supported our family business through every stage of its growth. Because of that loyalty and trust, we recently crossed a milestone that our family once only dreamed of.
Norm’s has officially donated over $100,000 to local non-profits and community organizations in Nanaimo and across Vancouver Island.
To celebrate, we hosted a small gathering at our Boxwood Road shop with our team, community partners, local representatives, and special guest Tamara Kronis, MP. During the event, we presented milestone cheques to three organizations doing some of the heaviest lifting in our region.
Nanaimo Ladysmith Schools Foundation
Because kids should never go hungry.
Food should be the last thing on a child’s mind when they are trying to learn. That is why we take so much pride in supporting Nanaimo Ladysmith Schools Foundation and their school food programs.
The work they do helps local students focus on being kids, learning, and getting through the school day with the support they deserve.
Nanaimo Community Hospice Society
This cause hits incredibly close to home for us.
Our family personally used Hospice’s services after our eldest brother passed away. We saw firsthand the irreplaceable support they provide to families during some of the hardest moments of grief.
That kind of care stays with you. We are honoured to stand by Nanaimo Community Hospice Society and support the work they continue to do for local families.
Forward House Community Society
With the rising need for mental health and community support, the work Forward House does is more important than ever.
For many vulnerable community members, Forward House may be one of the few places they can turn for support, connection, and care.
Helping fuel their team is incredibly rewarding for us, and we are proud to support the role they play in our community.
