Poly-B
Does my home have Poly-B piping?
If it was built between 1978 and 1995, there's a good chance. Poly-B is a blue-grey plastic pipe that turns brittle and cracks from the inside out, often at joints and fittings. We've replaced Poly-B with PEX for over 20 years, usually in 1 to 3 days, with drywall repair and paint handled.
