My hot water tank is leaking. What do I do?
Shut the cold supply valve on top of the tank. If you can't tell which pipe is cold, shut the main water valve instead. A tank leaking from the body can't be patched, so the plumber comes ready to replace it, and we keep tanks stocked after hours.
