I was born and raised on a ranch in Alberta and worked in the automotive industry for over 25 years. I wanted a change and went back to school for refrigeration in 2006. In 2010 I graduated and am now a Red Seal Journeyman in refrigeration/HVAC. I have been with Norm’s since 2013. I thoroughly enjoy working with Norm’s because of the friendships I have made, the whole staff is wonderful. In my spare time I enjoy hunting, archery, nature, and spending time with my wife Karen.
I grew up in Nanaimo. I moved away to go to University, then traveled the world. I spent 13 years in Australia, where my son Oscar was born and we recently moved back to the island to be closer to family again. I have a bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. I love working at Norms because of the people and the flexibility – they put family first. When I’m not at work you can find me cheering for my son at the ice arena or the baseball field. We can also be found snowboarding, camping or exploring this beautiful island.
I was born and raised in Nanaimo and have been with Norms for a year. I am a second-year apprentice, and love working for Norms because of the friendships I have built. I also enjoy being able to help our customers with plumbing and heating issues. It feels great being able to work in my hometown. Outside of work I enjoy fishing, playing hockey, and camping.
