Best Plumbers Nanaimo – Dave Rush

I was born and raised in Ontario up until the age of 10, where I then came to the island with my mom. I graduated from NDSS in 1980 and started to do various jobs. I was introduced to Norm’s and the owner Orville through the family when I was 25, and that’s when my career started. I soon went to Camosun College where I became a certified plumbing and gas fitter. While working on the tools for Norm’s I realized I had a passion for people and the community, so I started taking responsibilities in the office managing the company alongside Orville. My favorite thing about working for Norms is the relationships I have built with the community and creating a company that Nanaimo can trust. In my spare time, I enjoy camping with my family and watching the Maple Leafs play hockey.

I grew up in Nanaimo. I moved away to go to University, then traveled the world. I spent 13 years in Australia, where my son Oscar was born and we recently moved back to the island to be closer to family again. I have a bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. I love working at Norms because of the people and the flexibility – they put family first. When I’m not at work you can find me cheering for my son at the ice arena or the baseball field. We can also be found snowboarding, camping or exploring this beautiful island.
