- What’s your name and job title at Norm’s
Carson Rush – President. Years in the Trade: Since 2006 (I was helping my dad and grandpa since I could hold a flashlight) - What inspired you to get into plumbing and HVAC?
I originally wanted to become a pediatrician because of my own health challenges growing up. But once I started working at Norm’s, I realized we’re also in the business of helping people. Every day, we solve problems and make lives better, whether it’s giving someone hot water, fixing a flood, or bringing heating and cooling back to a home. That feeling of helping people in need fulfilled my passion and gave me purpose. - What do you enjoy most about your job?
Working with my family. I get to work alongside my brothers, father, and wife. I also consider every person here at Norm’s part of my family. That sense of teamwork and belonging is by far the best part of what I do. - What are you most proud of in your career?
Two things: starting three amazing donation programs to give back to the community, and winning international awards that recognize our team’s hard work and dedication. - What’s your approach when working in a customer’s home?
It’s been a while since I’ve been on the tools, but I’ve always treated every home as if it were my grandmother’s. Do the repair right so it lasts a lifetime, and leave the place spotless like you were never there. - What do you like to do outside of work?
Most of my time outside of work revolves around my wife and two kids (ages 5 and 2). We love exploring local trails, camping, swimming, and traveling together. I’ve also picked up golf recently so we’ll see if that sticks! - Fun fact:
I recently found out I’m not allergic to almonds after avoiding all nuts my whole life… and I’m absolutely terrified of heights!
