My Name is Erin and I am the Financial Controller/HR Manager at Norm’s.

How long have you been working in the trades? How long at Norm’s?

I have been working in the trades for more than 20 years. I joined the Norm’s Team in 2016.

What do you enjoy most about your job or working at Norm’s?

I like the family feeling and flexibility that comes from working for a family owned business. And I love the people I work with. I also like the challenges and variety of my job and working for a growing company – I get to learn new things every day!!

What’s one thing you’re proud of in your career so far?

I have been lucky enough to be one of the few Canadian women chosen to attend the Bryant Women in HVAC conference (Twice!) and represent Norms. This amazing opportunity allowed me to network and learn from some amazing females in the HVAC industry all over North America and bring back a lot of fun and exciting ideas to our company.

What’s your approach when working in a customer’s home?

I like to treat customers like I would my family and friends.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

When I am not working I like to spend time outside with my family and friends – camping, paddleboarding, snowboarding and exploring the island. I am also learning to curl and I love a great game of cards!
