My name is Malcolm, I am one of the owners, and also the director of Marketing.

I’ve been working in the trades my whole life, growing up alongside my family with Norm’s.

I decided to pursue the trades because seeing the positive impact we could make not only in people’s homes, but also the community struck a chord with me and I knew I could make a huge impact for employees, customers, and our community.

The thing I enjoy most about working at Norm’s is hearing customer success stories, being able to create projects, and engage with the community. But most of all is creating a great place to work and setting people up for a successful long-term career, plus we all become like family.

There are many things I’m proud of in my career so far. To name a few, building Norm’s to 36 people on top of the foundation that our family previously built, creating 3 successful long term donation programs that are nearing $100,000, and winning 2024’s best big business on Vancouver Island.

My approach to working in customers’ homes is something that has been passed down to me, which is “treat every home like it’s your mother’s house”. This rings true, having respect for the people’s home is #1.

When I’m not working, I enjoy photography, the gym, binge watching shows, and spending time with my wife.

A fun fact about me is that I have 8 tattoo’s, and I also rescued a dog from Costa Rica while on a family vacation.
